I like it! It's nice to change things around every once in a while. It's like rearranging furniture in the livingroom - all of a sudden everything seems a little newer. It reminds me of my blog a little.. http://bobbin-tales.blogspot.com/
I 'tweaked' blogger back in December, on a snowy Sunday afternoon when I clearly should have known better. My little blog came crashing down around my ears and there it has remained ever since. I have nudged it occasionally with my toe, but I just can't work out how to breath life back into it.
You have my up most admiration at your skills with both the computer and the sewing machine!
Philippa - difficulties with tweaking blogger is a nightmare that you are not alone in. My husband had customised my old template a lot with his own code, which meant that over-writing it with one of their new templates was an unhappy experience. However, there's a place where you can export the whole blog before you do any tweaking, which means that you can get your spanner (or hammer!) out and tinker with abandon once it's safely backed up...which seems to be the only way to get it to work. Good luck & be brave!
Thank you for the kind advice, but I'm afraid that Blogger has burnt it's bridges with me and this was the final horror! As a result I have packed up my little blog and moved to wordpress, until we too fall out.
